Effective date: August 28, 2026
These Terms are a working public draft for Life By Day. They should be reviewed by counsel before being treated as final legal language.
1. Acceptance
By using Life By Day, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are using Life By Day for a child, you confirm that you are a parent, guardian, or authorized family administrator for that child’s account.
2. What Life By Day Provides
Life By Day provides tools for family recordkeeping, including a parent dashboard, child profile pages, daily journal entries, photos, growth references, milestone prompts, games, email notifications, and related features.
Life By Day is not a medical provider, childcare provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice.
3. Accounts, Tenants, and Access
Each child profile may be organized as a separate tenant with its own settings, data files, access tokens, family page, dashboard, subscribers, uploaded files, and notification preferences.
Parents and authorized administrators are responsible for deciding who may access a family page or dashboard. Access links and tokens should be shared thoughtfully.
4. Parent and Administrator Responsibilities
- Keep dashboard access links, tokens, and administrative credentials private.
- Review subscriber requests before approving them.
- Choose carefully which journal entries, photos, milestones, and games are published to a family page.
- Confirm that any information entered about a child is accurate enough for your intended family use.
5. Child and Family Content
You retain ownership of the photos, notes, measurements, files, and other content you upload or enter. You give Life By Day permission to store, process, display, and send that content as needed to provide the service.
You agree not to upload content that you do not have permission to share, or content that is unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or harmful.
6. Growth and Development Information
Growth charts, percentiles, development stages, reminders, and milestone information are provided for general educational context. They may be based on publicly available pediatric references and configured source data, but they are not a diagnosis.
Always contact a qualified medical professional for health questions, urgent symptoms, feeding concerns, growth concerns, or developmental concerns.
7. Photos, Family Pages, and Sharing
Family pages are intended to help trusted relatives and friends follow selected moments. Parents control whether a family page is public, access-token protected, paused, or limited by tenant settings.
Publishing a photo, milestone, journal entry, or game may make it visible to people who can access the family page.
8. Email Notifications and Subscriptions
Life By Day may send administrative emails, signup confirmations, subscriber request notices, milestone updates, photo updates, and account-related messages. Subscribers may receive family-approved updates only after a parent or administrator approves them.
Email delivery can fail or be delayed because of provider limits, spam filtering, mailbox settings, network issues, or other systems outside Life By Day’s control.
9. Privacy and Security
Life By Day is designed to separate tenant data and limit access to private files. No system is perfectly secure, so parents should avoid entering sensitive information that is not needed for family recordkeeping.
We may keep backups, logs, and operational records to maintain reliability, investigate issues, prevent abuse, and support recovery.
10. Acceptable Use
You may not use Life By Day to attack the service, bypass access controls, scrape private data, send spam, impersonate others, upload malicious files, or interfere with another family’s account.
11. Early Access and Availability
Life By Day may be offered as an early-access product. Features may change, break, improve, move, or be removed as the product develops. We will try to preserve important family data, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
12. Backups and Data Retention
Life By Day may create backups of application files and tenant data. Backups are intended for recovery and operations, not as a user-facing archive guarantee. Data retention periods may change as the service matures.
13. Suspension or Termination
We may pause or restrict access to an account if needed for security, abuse prevention, non-payment, operational risk, or policy concerns. When possible, data may be retained so access can be restored by an administrator.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as Life By Day grows. The effective date will be updated when meaningful changes are made.
